Lawrence Craft is a well known Merchant, traveling from town to town in order to sell his goods, and trade them in order to make a good profit for living, paying for supplies, and food. He is the age of Twenty-Five. His appearance is very clean compared to others in his time period, having an odd shade of white to his hair, and a short trimmed beard on his chin. Being the age of Twelve was the time period in which he set out to become a Merchant, although being taken in as an apprentice, he was taught by that of a family member. Finding a suitable age to set out on his own at Eighteen, he heads out into the vast world of trading. His main dream is to begin a shop of his own once making a suitable profit, settling down and taking in a wife as well as raising a family.
The Companion:
One evening in the town of Pasroe, Lawrence found himself in a deserted plain, resting for the night only once heading to bed in his cart, there was to reveal a naked girl under the sheets. Being quite shocked by such a thing, it wasn't her nudity that strikes him, but the fact that she possessed a tail as well as wolf ears. Once she had awoken from her slumber commanding she get out of his cart at once, she instantly opened her eyes, revealing them to be a blood red shade, giving him an even harsher shock. By this he now demands her to reveal her name, as he retrieves his dagger curious if she was some type of demon, since no human had he seen before had such characteristics as she did. Feeling a bit offended right off the bait, she did in fact reveal her name which happened to be "Horo". Hearing rumors of such a name in the town he visited it occurred to him as though she was proclaiming to be Horo, the Wolf Goddess of the crops in which brought bountiful harvests. She merely laughed at his assumption, explaining she was no mere god as they called her, only a wolf deity trapped in the form of a fifteen year old girl, forced to roam this earth for most her life. They praised her for many years, but found that she was no longer needed, giving her the feeling of fleeing from such a disrespectful place. This is when she requests that Lawrence bring her back to her homeland in Yoitsu, wanting to return to the ones she so long ago left. Thus they then made an agreement. He would accompany her on her way back home, doing what he could to help, as for paying for the food she ate she would be forced to pay him back the money she owes him, which later on leaves a huge dent in his wallet considering the large amount of food she consumes constantly.
The Relationship between Human & Deity:
The Bond in which Horo & Lawrence share is very complicated indeed, unlike most people's situations. Horo, being stubborn and arrogant tends to tic off Lawrence, having to still deal with her due to their agreement. The worst times they have complications is when she overdoes the wine, and happens to get drunk, leaving herself a hangover the next morning. Lawrence being the nice man he is, leaving a bucket by her bed side each morning in case she ends up vomiting. Due to some people questioning their companionship when traveling through towns, it is often lied that Horo is either his wife, or that she is a traveling Nun whom simply accompanies him for saving her life at such a brutal situation. Another huge thing they face is hiding Horo's true features, as she tries not to attract any attention from the churches, or surely they will take her in and kill her. In simple detail, the two act like total opposites. Horo constantly teases him with her wits, knowing him being a man is too easy to let him fall for her traps, while he has no choice but losing the battle. Lawrence is also often clled "Softy" because of his kindness towards woman and how his senses fail so easy when in thought or conversation of them. Still, Lawrence chooses Horo over most the woman he meets, and often finds himself calling her his Princess when she talks of him needing to act like a knight, even if it is just buisness dealings. For example, as one time one captured by a guild and threatened to be handed over to the church, Lawrence refused to give her up to them, protecting her as best he could until beaten, forcing Horo to transform to her Wolf Form in order to save the two. Even if in the end Horo was truly the hero, she claims the outcome as him being the knight for taking a stand for her. The bond they share, shall grow ever so often each day they spend together, both leaving behind one thing for each other; cherished memories of the time they spent together.
